I arrived in Naples, Florida, as an immigrant from Venezuela, filled with fear and uncertainty about starting a new life. With no friends, no job, no money, and not even the ability to speak English, the odds were against me. Despite my background in engineering, the path ahead was daunting. From the moment I set foot in Naples, I began working multiple jobs. I worked at First Watch, a breakfast restaurant, and at Limoncello, an Italian restaurant in town. I would wake up at 4 a.m. every day to go to the gym and take care of myself before starting my 14-hour (sometimes 16) shifts. My goal was to save money and establish a new life in this country. The hard work was grueling, but it was the first step toward my dream.
After a few years of relentless effort, I had saved enough money to start investing. My family and I became obsessed with finding ways to grow our savings, and that’s when we discovered the benefits of investing in real estate. In just a couple of years, we purchased three properties in Naples, one of the best cities in the country. How crazy is that.
At 26, I bought my first property in Naples, a milestone that filled me with pride. I remember the joy and relief I felt ( but also scared ) when I signed the papers. But I wasn’t content to stop there. With a background in engineering from Venezuela, I had always been motivated and loved solving problems, a passion I applied to every aspect of my life. My interest in investment grew, and I decided to focus on what I now love the most: real estate. So I need to get a real estate license.
